The Local Area
Reinstorf is an idyllic village on the outskirt of Lüneburg.
The meadows, fields and woods are inviting you to take long walks or jogging tours.
The historic salt city Lüneburg is just 15 minutes by car. The former Hanseatic City became rich in the Middle Ages thanks to the large salt deposits. The then merchants used the riches to build particularly beautiful gabled houses. Take a tour of discovery through the dreamy lanes between the impressive houses and churches. Lüneburg Town Hall is particularly worth a visit. Afterwards, you should explore the romantic inn quarter on the banks of the river Ilmenau, that is called “Stint”.
Further destinations nearby include Bleckeder Schloss or the Scharnebeck shiplifting works – incidentally the largest in the world.
Lovers of nature and bird watchers should take a bicycle tour through the Elbtalaue Nature Reserve or through the Lüneburg Heide.
